The new RIEGL VUX-1 Series High-Performance LiDAR Sensors for kinematic laser scanning were created for specific applications.

The VUX-1HA High Accuracy is designed for indor and outdoor laser mapping, tunnel profile measurements and railway applications such as clearance analysis. It has a high accuracy of 5 mm. Its rugged, lightweight design is easily mountable to any type of moving platform with a field of view of 355 degrees.

The VUX-1UAV was created for topography in open-cast mining, terrain and canyon mapping. It is easily mountable to a professional UAS, UAV, RPAS, etc. with a field of view of 330 degrees. Also available for use with the VUX-1UAV is the fully-integrated RIEGL VUX-SYS and RiCOPTER, and optionally available with integrated APX-15 INS.

The VUX-1LR Long Range has a compact, rugged and very lightweight design and is ideally suited for airborne surveying from helicopters with a field of view of 330 degrees. It has a fully-integrated system solution with the RIEGL VP-1 Helipod, which is available for user-friendly mounting to helicopters. Typical applications include corridor mapping, surveying of urban environments, archaelogy and cultural heritage documentation.
