NGS Places Real-Time GNSS Network Symposium on Hold Again
The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) has once again postponed its Real-Time GNSS Network Symposium due to funding issues.
The event had been planned for May 29-30, after the planned 2012 event was rescheduled also due to budget constraints.
A statement issued by the agency noted, “The recent sequestration of U.S. government funds and other near-term budget uncertainties have made it necessary to cancel or scale back a significant number of planned events.”
The statement included links to real-time resources that have been produced by NGS in recent years, such as "Guidelines for Real Time GNSS Networks," "Real Time Positioning - Best Methods for the Field," "Guidelines for Single Base Real Time GNSS Positioning," and "Policy Supporting Real-Time GNSS Positioning."
