In response to growing demand from the South African market, Measurement Devices Ltd (MDL) and Optron have teamed up to establish a product service and repair capability to enhance the service support offering to customers for MDL’s Quarryman 3D rock face profiler.

The new service facility is based at the Centurion head office of Optron, which has been supplying and servicing products in sub-Saharan Africa for over 25 years, and has been an essential partner in providing MDL laser measurement systems to the South African market.

MDL is a complete measurement solutions provider, designer and manufacturer of rugged laser measurement systems for use in extreme environments. The Quarryman 3D rock face profiler has become a recognised name within the South African survey community, and the establishment of Optron’s servicing capabilities is a direct response to local demand.

Part of this philosophy is reflected in our Accredited Service Center program, whereby we assess, train and develop our channel partners and key dealers to service, calibrate and repair our market-leading innovative products.”
