HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Intergraph released an upgraded version of CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software that offers advanced integration with its plant, offshore and material handling design solutions, SmartPlant 3D, SmartMarine 3D and SmartPlant 3D Materials Handling Edition, collectively known as Smart 3D, and SmartPlant Review, Intergraph’s problem-solving 3D visualization tool.
CAESAR II 2011 R1 provides users a fast and customizable interface between the pipe stress analysis software and Smart 3D. It reduces time and eliminates manual re-entry by transferring Smart 3D design data into the CAESAR II model. It provides a flexible, user-configurable interface with reporting messages to give more confidence to the stress analyst in the imported model, thus reducing validation time. Also, if a designer makes any changes or additions in the middle of a project, those lines can be updated in the CAESAR II stress model without it having to be re-worked.
This interface also allows the easy export of pipe stress analysis results between CAESAR II and either Smart 3D or SmartPlant Review, which makes for quicker incorporation of analysis changes during a project. This availability of results provides fast and accurate transfer of information from the stress analyst back to the piping designer and civil engineer to reduce chances of errors, thus reducing project risk.
