Boston – The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its 2012 Small Business of the Year Awards. This year’s awards will honor the ‘Top 10’ small, high-growth businesses in the Greater Boston region, with Meridian Associates, a multi-disciplinary land development and infrastructure consulting firm, recognized as the ‘Small Business of the Year.’ An awards luncheon for all the honorees will be held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 12 p.m.
Now in its 28th year, the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Awards recognize the achievements of Greater Boston’s smaller for-profit companies with gross revenues of more than $1 million who display strong financial performance, achievement in management, workplace excellence, product innovation, and community or social responsibility.
“The Chamber is delighted to honor Greater Boston’s ‘Top 10’ small businesses of 2012 and pay tribute to the significant impact that small businesses have on our regional economy,” said Paul Guzzi, president and CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber. “This year’s honorees truly represent the entrepreneurial spirit, focus on excellence and commitment to the community that define our region’s small business community, and we look forward to honoring them on Oct. 11.”
