DENVER Woolpert, a design, geospatial and infrastructure management consulting firm headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, announced that Gil Neumann, former Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) planner, has joined the firm’s Denver office as a project director.

Neumann joins the firm with nearly 20 years of airport planning and transportation experience, most recently in the role of senior airport planner within the FAA’s Office of Airport Planning and Programming. In this role, Neumann was responsible for implementing the FAA’s Airports GIS (AGIS) program in conjunction with the Airport Engineering Division, FAA Regions and Airport District Offices and the Air Traffic Organization’s Office of Aeronautical Information Management. Neumann’s experience also includes working with FAA personnel nationwide to construct requirements for the electronic Airport Layout Plan (eALP) module.

“Gil’s leadership in helping the FAA and airports transform to GIS technology will be a great asset to our clients,” said Tom Mochty, Woolpert senior vice president and aviation practice leader. “He brings an added level of expertise to our team of aviation professionals as we continue to provide airports and the FAA with innovative solutions.”
