THSOA Announces 2017 Hall of Fame
Honors key hydrographic contributors
The Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA) is now taking nominations for the 2017 THSOA Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is a THSOA program that honors individuals who have made significant contributions to hydrographic science and/or to organization. Nominations will close on Jan. 1, 2017. No further nominations will be accepted after the deadline. THSOA and the Hall of Fame Committee will induct three members into the Hall of Fame at the 2017 U.S. Hydrographic Conference in Galveston, Texas.
Any THSOA member in good standing may nominate any individual for induction into the Hall of Fame so long as the nominee meets one of the following criteria:
Nominee must have advanced the science of hydrographic surveying.
Nominee must have a distinguished career as a hydrographic surveyor.
Nominee must have a history of service to the hydrographic community and/or to THSOA.
To submit your nominations, please and fill out the THSOA Hall of Fame Nominations Form. Submissions will be sent to Pat Sanders, chairman of the THSOA Hall of Fame Committee.
Once nominations have closed, the chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee will gather all nominations received and forward a summary to all Hall of Fame Committee members. The nominations summary will be reviewed by the Hall of Fame Committee members and a short list will be generated from all nominees submitted to a total of five nominees. The Hall of Fame committee will then cast their vote for the 2017 Hall of Fame nominees.
