A spring course in geographic information systems (GIS) from UC Davis Extension is being offered.

Participants will be able to learn how to analyze and model the built and natural environments in order to inform policy and policy decisions.

It is designed to increase professionals’ understanding of available tools in ArcGIS for many types of spatial analyses, including how to choose the appropriate set of tools for different situations. Important topics such as projections and editing will be covered in addition to many overlooked but useful tools that save time and effort.

The course will take place May 23-25 at UC Davis Wickson Hall. Enrollment is $750.

Those interested are encouraged to call 800-752-0881, email extension@ucdavis.edu or visit www.extension.ucdavis.edu/gis.
