Maptek is joining Chinese sales partner Pioneering Inc. at China Mining Congress and Expo in Tianjing, being held Oct. 20-23.

New developments in mining science and technology are expected to be strong drawcards at the annual expo. Among them will be the first look at Maptek’s geological modeling and mine planning software in Chinese. The Vulcan 10, due for release in March 2016, will feature comprehensive modeling and design tools available in Chinese as well as other languages.

“Maptek offers a broad range of technology products that help companies from the commencement of mining projects,” says Maptek Managing Director Peter Johnson. “Built-in workflows and ease of use are hallmarks of our solutions. This makes them easy to implement, and the quick uptake means operations can start benefiting sooner.”

Maptek provides software and services across the mining execution value chain. Vulcan and Eureka streamline tasks in mine evaluation, planning and design. I-Site technology targets 3D laser scanning, survey and imaging applications. The spatial data collected can be used for geotechnical analysis, stockpile measurement, design conformance and movement tracking.

This has helped us to capture workflows in our solutions to deliver increased productivity in very aggressive market conditions,’ Johnson continued.
