Leica’s New HDS Virtual Classroom To Sharpen Laser Scanning Skills
Online training program will be led by laser scanning professionals, says Leica Geosystems
Leica Geosystems is launching the HDS Virtual Classroom, an online training opportunity for professionals who desire to take their laser scanning abilities to the next level.
Taught by experts with extensive experience in all fields of laser scanning, each two- to three-hour live course delves into a common challenge or question and guides students through step-by-step best practices designed to ensure success.
“This is the next evolution of Leica Geosystems' HDS training,” says Michael Harvey, HDS product applications manager. “Onsite training courses remain popular and will continue to be available.
However, as professionals involved in laser scanning increasingly struggle to fit training into their busy schedules, online courses provide a practical solution.”
Course topics include alignments and TINs; basic Cyclone features and operation; cloud-to-cloud based registration; CloudWorx for AutoCAD; CloudWorx for Revit; copy tool and data import; data cleanup; Leica ScanStation P16, P30 and P40 field operations; plant modeling; target-based registration; using Leica external camera kit; and others.
Ideal for small teams or individuals, each course is customized to focus on the tools and applications used by the students. Class sizes are limited to maximize practical, hands-on learning using real-world datasets.
With close to 200 years of experience pioneering solutions to measure the world, Leica Geosystems products and services help customers worldwide capture, analyze and present spatial information. Leica Geosystems is best known for its broad array of products that capture accurately, model quickly, analyze easily, and visualize and present spatial information.
