Topcon Appoints Senior Business Development Manager
Alan Jones brings 20 years of experience to new role in deformation monitoring business
The deformation monitoring projects market within the Topcon GeoPositioning Solutions Group is a “very important business area for Topcon,” says group vice president Charles Rihner.
To spearhead the growth of the division, Topcon has welcomed Alan Jones as senior business development manager for deformation monitoring, effective immediately. “His breadth of experience along with our history of technological innovation will allow us to really grow this market by offering customers a complete monitoring solution — keeping them ahead of their competition," Rihner says. "It’s a winning combination."
Jones’ experience with geotechnical and structural monitoring stretches back more than two decades. He’s worked in both manufacturing and consulting capacities monitoring dams, bridges, tunnels, pipelines, mines and landslides around the world. Project locations include North and South America, Europe and Asia.
“Topcon has first-class positioning technology that can be applied to a wide variety of deformation monitoring applications,” Jones says. “I look forward to growing the Topcon brand in this market space, and building relationships with new and existing clients to help ensure the success of their monitoring projects.”
