The upcoming 12th annual SPAR International will be “the only conference at which DAQRI is offering live demonstrations of their Smart Helmet,” says conference program manager Linda McLaughlin.

SPAR International, March 30-April 2, 2015, in Houston, TexasDescribed as the world’s only wearable human machine interface, the DAQRI Smart Helmet is improving efficiency, safety on the job, and cost savings for Fortune 500 companies in aerospace, energy, oil and gas, government, manufacturing and transportation, among others. Live demonstrations of the DAQRI Smart Helmet will be taking place at SPAR International 2015, to be held March 30-April 2 at the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Hilton Americas in Houston, Texas. The president of DAQRI, considered the world’s leading augmented reality developer, Andy Lowery will also deliver the keynote address at the event. “We are excited about their participation,” says McLaughlin, “and the possibilities for this technology.”

In his “Sensing Change: To the Cloud(s) and Beyond”address, Lowery will discuss how architecting “Internet of Things” technologies into the industrial framework can be likened to an event equivalent to last century’s Industrial Revolution. He will explore how the Digital Industrial Revolution has the potential to be vastly transformative based on the breadth and depth of anticipated productivity increases, and will look at:

  • How our world is changing now
  • What technologies may have the greatest impact
  • What it means for the future of work
  • How can we best leverage these opportunities.

The SPAR International conference program will feature presentations from more than 90 experts in data capture, point cloud processing and delivery, who will share best practices for using 3D technologies to improve processes, produce spot-on deliverables, and save time and money. Running alongside the conference will be an exhibition, showcasing solutions from leading 3D hardware manufacturers, software suppliers and service providers, including such market leaders as Autodesk, AVEVA LFM, Bentley, FARO, Leica Geosystems, Optech, RIEGL USA, Surphaser, Topcon, Trimble and  Z+F.
