Mark your calendars. MAPPS has announced dates for its four conferences in 2014.
The conferences will focus on business development, education, technology applications and public policy for owners and executives of private geospatial firms.
The MAPPS Winter Conference will kick off the organization’s events slate on Feb. 9-13 at the Lodge in Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif. The program will center on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), emerging technologies and business best practices. The deadline for regular registration is Jan. 16.
The Federal Programs Conference will take place April 1-2 in Washington, D.C. Attendees will hear from federal agency partners and visit Congressional leaders to advocate for legislation and policy to benefit the geospatial market.
The MAPPS Summer Conference will take place in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on July 27-31. It will focus on networking and business development.
Finally, MAPPS will host the Geospatial and Engineering International Conference on Sept. 25-26 in Alexandria, Va. The conference, which was postponed to 2014 because of the U.S. government shutdown in October 2013, will provide information to help firms to export their services, data and products to overseas clients.
