In order to develop new applications for oblique imagery, Pix4D has recently signed a partnership with Visual Intelligence LP, a sensor technology company based in Houston, which delivers solutions for airborne, terrestrial and mobile applications.

With the iOne family of modular and scalable sensors, Visual Intelligence has set out to build and deliver the best performing oblique/3D geoimaging system at the best economic value in regards to existing technical solutions. Pix4D’s partnership with Visual Intelligence is aimed to providing customers with the most streamlined and efficient image oblique processing, modeling and product generation.

"More and more we see the transition from a two‐dimensional representation of geographic information towards a real three-dimensional description of our environment. Since Visual Intelligence’s iOne sensors are scalable to the miniaturization level, both companies share an open systems approach whereby the same software workflow can be applied from the large systems all the way down to the UAV and miniaturized mobile systems.
