MAPPS
is holding a special luncheon Tuesday, July 24 at noon at the San Diego
Marriott Gaslamp Quarter Hotel; just a few steps from the Esri Users Conference
convention center. The lunch is only open to MAPPS members and their invited
guests.
Guest speakers will include Kevin Gallagher, associate director for Core
Science, USGS, and Jerry Johnston, the new geospatial information officer (GIO)
for the Department of the Interior.
USGS is developing a national elevation program, known as "3DEP"
(three-dimensional elevation program). In addition, the USGS is also proposing
a "Contracting as a Service" (CaaS) feature for the geospatial
platform.
Join MAPPS to learn about the business opportunities that these new USGS
programs may present as well as other news and developments. MAPPS
members can register themselves ($65) and the principal, owner, partner or
senior executive professional of a private firm that isn’t currently a MAPPS
member firm as a guest for free, to help recruit a new member to MAPPS and
build the organization.
