Fairfax, Va. – Dewberry, a professional services firm, has named James Stephens as senior GIS program manager. In his new role, Stephens is responsible for developing a geospatial business strategy, developing and capturing international GIS and remote sensing business, and leading captures of new geospatial opportunities. He will be located in the Fairfax, Va., office.
Stephens brings more than 22 years of experience in geospatial services to Dewberry. He has worked on a variety of projects including the development of the Open Geospatial Consortium’s (OGC) Interoperability Program, for which he was honored as an outstanding contributor in 2009.
Stephens holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also the chair of the board of directors of Colombia Reformed, an international organization supporting mission works in Colombia.
