The
Technical Committee for the third European LiDAR Mapping Forum (ELMF),
which is taking place in Salzburg, Austria on December 4-5, 2012, has
recently announced a Call for Papers and invites any interested parties to
submit their abstracts online by July 25,
2012. The ELMF Technical Committee, led by Conference Chairman
Alastair MacDonald from TMSI, will lead a peer review of each abstract and the
final program will be announced at the beginning of September.
The ELMF is focused on applying LiDAR and laser scanning to deliver
outside mapping and imaging solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner
across a variety of markets. Over the two days, the conference will focus
on the use of LiDAR to support transport, urban modeling, asset
management, coastal zone mapping, and 3D and GIS applications.
In addition, the organizers reported that, despite only recently launching
the dates for the forum, they have been overwhelmed
by the response from organizations wishing to exhibit. The ELMF
welcomes organizations involved in airborne, bathymetric LiDAR and
mobile mapping systems, including system and component manufacturers,
operators, service companies and specialists in data handling and management, to
exhibit or sponsor at the ELMF event.
