GeoCue Strengthens LIDARgrammetry Intellectual Property Portfolio
GeoCue Corporation has been awarded a United States patent, “Visualization and storage algorithms associated with processing point cloud data,” covering fundamental technologies required to produce LIDAR visualization and exploitation images, stereo LIDAR image generation, Nyquist analysis images as well as techniques for fast rendering of Triangulated Irregular Networks (TIN).
“For a small company, GeoCue has made substantial R&D investments in algorithm and software development for LIDAR data processing and exploitation,” said Jim Meadlock, Chairman of GeoCue Corporation. “We are extremely pleased to have our investments validated and protected by this patent award. This newly allowed patent combined with our proprietary intellectual property and substantial copyright holdings in software, provides us the confidence to continue to bring innovative products to market.”
GeoCue Corporation is a software development and consulting services company specializing in geospatial production management solutions and LIDAR data processing tools. The inventor of LIDARgrammetry, GeoCue has an extensive portfolio of intellectual property for creating and exploiting a variety of LIDAR data using image processing and conventional photogrammetric techniques.
