QCoherent Software is pleased to announce the release of LIDAR Server version 1.2. LIDAR Server is a web mapping solution for LIDAR point clouds and is built specifically for visualization and delivery of LIDAR over the web. Recent capabilities added to LIDAR Server include:
• Additional profile/cross-section visualizations
• Improved performance
• Silverlight API
• Amazon web service (AWS) cloud deployment options
• A geographical project index
• Customizable LAS click-and-ship configurations.
LIDAR Server provides stakeholder access to LIDAR point clouds and is compatible with desktop web mapping clients such as Google Earth and browser-based map server technologies like Silverlight and OpenLayers. LIDAR Server facilitates rapid LIDAR mash-ups with other map layers such as Bing Maps, Google Earth, Open Street Maps, and is also compatible with other map server technologies such as ESRI’s ArcServer.
