DOT Seeks Innovative Research Proposals from Small Businesses to Address Transportation Challenges
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program has posted its second and final program solicitation for fiscal year 2010, inviting small businesses to submit research proposals that address high-priority goals within DOT. Through this competitive program, the Department encourages the nation's small, high-tech, innovative businesses to be a significant part of the federal government's research and development efforts.
Small businesses are invited to submit innovative research proposals during the solicitation period, which runs through May 14. The SBIR program is administered by the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, part of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration. The solicitation is available at www.volpe.dot.gov/sbir.
