I'm going to be doing an elevation certificate for a property about 6 miles from my office. I went out there yesterday to see if a BM was there or not. I found it disturbed, but 20 feet away from another new monument. It had a brass cap on top stamped "CVFED CONTROL" "O1 VISION" "DWR 2008". I believe the DWR stands for California Dept. of Water Resources. I'm not sure what CVFED stands for. This mon. did not come up on the NGS datasheets. Does anyone know how I can find out how to obtain the data for this mon? I tooled around on the CA DWR website and I didn't see anything about benchmark lists or monuments. Thanks.
