Photo Science has purchased Optech’s next-generation Lynx Mobile Mapper.

Optech Incorporated, provider of advanced lidar survey instruments, announced that Photo Science, based in Lexington, Kentucky, has purchased Optech’s next-generation Lynx Mobile Mapper.

“We are pleased to have Photo Science augment their Optech lidar equipment,” said Brent Gelhar, Optech's Vice President, Sales and Strategy. “Given their depth of experience with airborne data collection and their ability to embrace large-scope projects, we anticipate many unique surveys will be undertaken by Photo Science with their Lynx."

Mike Ritchie, Photo Science’s President, illustrates the company’s ability to further develop the projects involving geospatial data collection, with the addition of the Lynx ground-based mobile mapping system. “We are very excited about our new instrument choice and finding lots of new ways to put it to use.  We look forward to adding to our suite of Optech hardware,” he said.

Optech’s Lynx Mobile Mappers are currently employed on surveying projects for numerous clients worldwide.
