EXTON, Pa. – Bentley Systems, Incorporated
has appointed Baker Egerton to the newly created position of vice president,
lead generation, in Bentley’s marketing group. In this role, Egerton will
oversee all lead generation processes, systems, and data to further develop
Bentley’s marketing systems. In addition, Egerton will continue to enhance the
company’s understanding of the needs of its users, and ensure that Bentley
proactively communicates the unique value its software and services provide to
users around the world. He joins Bentley with more than 25 years of experience
in regional and global demand generation for business-to-business technology
enterprises, including IBM, Arthur Andersen LLP, and IDS Scheer, a German-based
SAP software and services company. Before joining Bentley, Egerton was
integrated marketing communications manager with Hewlett-Packard’s Global
Desktop Solutions Organization. Egerton is based in Exton, Pa., and reports to
Ed Mueller, Bentley’s chief marketing officer.
“We are pleased to welcome Baker – and his tremendous enthusiasm for building
user loyalty and referrals – to the Bentley team,” said Mueller. “Our search for
someone with Baker’s background and insight into effective and highly targeted
lead-generation campaigns was extensive, but well worth the effort. Baker’s
knowledge and commitment to ensuring the consistent capture of business metrics
and return-on-investment proof points will greatly enhance our marketing
efforts.”
Mueller continued, “Under Baker’s leadership, we now have the opportunity to
leverage our colleague and technology assets to continue to build on the valued
relationships we’ve long enjoyed with our growing community of users.”
Prior to his employment with Hewlett-Packard, Egerton served as vice
president of marketing communications with Neoware, Inc., a provider of thin
client computing solutions. There, he managed global rebranding and
repositioning efforts that turned the company into a provider of virtualized
desktop solutions.
Egerton is a member of the Marketing Executives Networking Group, a national
network of top-level marketing executives devoted to enhancing its members’
professional skills, relationships, and knowledge. He holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree in communications from the University of Redlands, in Redlands, Calif.
