Autodesk today announced that it is shipping the following geospatial solutions software products: AutoCAD Map 3D 2009, Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2009, Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2009 and AutoCAD Raster Design 2009. Autodesk geospatial solutions provide users in utility and telecommunications organizations and government agencies with a powerful, affordable and flexible geospatial platform.

Autodesk Geospatial Solutions
Enhancements in all the geospatial products build on the solutions’ fundamental properties of open data access and interoperability with other design, GIS and IT systems and include an enhanced, intuitive user environment.

AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 software is the latest version of the leading engineering platform for creating and managing spatial data. Based on AutoCAD 2009 software, new and improved capabilities include faster data access and editing via Feature Data Object (FDO) technology, improved cartography tools, user interface enhancements and the ability to deploy AutoCAD Map 3D via Citrix XenApp™ application virtualization system.

When used with Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2009 and Autodesk Design Review 2009 software, accurate design, mapping and geospatial data can be easily, securely and cost-effectively distributed across and beyond a user’s organization.

Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise 2009 software, based on MapGuide Open Source software, provides a powerful mapping platform for delivering geospatial information quickly, easily and cost-effectively via the Web. New capabilities include Flexible Web Layout technology, which allows Web designers and software developers to more easily create Web mapping applications. Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2009 software, the authoring environment and companion software for Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise, also supports Flexible Web Layout technology and makes it easy for developers to switch between a set of design templates and click-and-drag application functionality options.
