Received a call from a good client of ours that we have done similiar past projects for. They ordered an updated survey from a surveyor that originally surveyed the property in 2000. 25 acre apartment complex with 19 buildings. New title commitment, lender, borrower, etc. The fee to update the survey, a whopping $2,200.00. (No, I did not leave off any zero's). UNBELIVABLE!!. I know times are tough here in Georgia, but give me a break.
BTW - They ordered the survey in January and are supposed to close next week. Still no sign of the survey and now the surveyor is not even returning their phone calls. Talk about a black eye to the profession.
