3001 Awarded U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Surveying and Mapping Contract
January 30, 2007 – Fairfax, VA –3001, the geospatial company, has been awarded an indefinite delivery contract (IDC) for Photogrammetry, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and related services by the U.S. Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntington District. The IDC has a maximum value of $3 million dollars ($3M) over a one-year period, with two option years. This contract will support USACE civil works projects primarily within the boundaries of the Huntington District, but may extend throughout the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin).
This program will be managed by Peter Briere from 3001’s Peachtree City (Atlanta) Civil Works facility. “It is always a privilege and a pleasure to work with the USACE in support of their photogrammetric requirements,” said Mr. Briere. ”We have assembled a team of proven leaders in the geospatial industry and look forward to assisting the Corps with this contract”.
3001 has worked as a prime contractor for USACE for more than 30 years providing surveying and mapping services, which include airborne imagery acquisition, LiDAR acquisition, GIS services, and digital nautical and navigation charting. 3001 is currently under contract with six USACE districts and has supported 20 districts with geospatial services. 3001 is teamed with GRW Aerial Surveys, Inc. (GRW) of Lexington, KY and Digital Aerial Solutions, LLC (DAS) a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) for providing geospatial services and solutions to complete this contract. The team will provide aerial photography, airborne Global Positioning System (ABGPS) data, geodetic and photo control surveying, aerotriangulation, stereocompilation, digital orthophotography, LiDAR data acquisition and processing, and GIS services.
