WESTMINSTER, CO -- Spectra Precision today introduced a Robotic model of the FOCUS 10 Total Station for the U.S. survey market. The Spectra Precision FOCUS 10 is an advanced, field-proven total station that delivers improved speed, convenience and affordability to mechanical total station users. The new Robotic model offer surveyors automatic target recognition and tracking as well as one-person robotic operation options that enable increased speed and efficiency.
The servomotor-driven FOCUS 10 Total Station comes standard with long-range, reflectorless technology, allowing surveyors to increase staking speed and measure remote objects without a prism. The accuracy of the FOCUS 10 assures the integrity of measurements taken to targets. By including sensor technology, the FOCUS 10 total station allows the operator to be confident that the signal is coming back from the reflector-not from other reflective objects.
The FOCUS 10 Total Station is highly versatile, offering four-speed servo motors with Servo and Robotic models that provide 3” and 5” accuracy, respectively.
The Robotic model offers full robotic operation, allowing one-person operation from the range-pole. With the surveyor at the point of observation, a Robotic total station instantly improves accuracy by reducing field errors. In addition, it can increase efficiency and reduce out of pocket costs by allowing survey companies to allocate their field crew resources more effectively.
The FOCUS 10 Total Station can be bundled with a TDS data collector and field software, radio and active target. Its easy-to-use and familiar TDS Survey Pro™ data collection software facilitates fast and accurate surveying without significant downtime for training.
The FOCUS 10 Robotic Total Station model is expected to be available late July of 2007 through select Tripod Data Systems (TDS) dealers in the U.S. For more information, email inquires firstname.lastname@example.org call TDS at 541-753-9322.
