National Surveyor's Week provides the opportunity for surveyors in industry, government, private practice and education to promote public awareness of their profession. Schinnerer will recognize the week with several activities. On March 21st, the movie Building the Alaska Highwaywill be screened at Schinnerer's headquarters. This documentary features interviews with highway workers, archival footage and Alaskan scenery. On March 22, an expert from the insured firm of Whitman, Required and Associates, Gregory King, who manages the survey department will be speaking about challenges in the surveying profession. Finally on March 28, Schinnerer will host Frank Malits, a principal in the insured firm of Cagley & Associates, Inc. to talk to underwriters and risk managers about understanding and managing the risks of structural engineering claims.
