February, 25, 2009
Two Southeast Texas surveyors have been reprimanded and assigned a $6,000 fee for filing incorrect elevation figures for two LaBelle-area homes.
Soutex Surveyors Inc., of Port Arthur, and Harold F. Locke and Associates, of Port Neches, were both found to have violated four rules of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying, a state agency governing the profession.
A phone call placed to Soutex was not returned on Tuesday, and phone calls placed to the Locke and Associates number listed with the surveying board were not answered.
