Ferris State University (FSU) of Big Rapids, Mich., awarded Hans Hess, CEO of Leica Geosystems, Heerbrugg, Switzerland, an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Business and Industry.
Hess was born and raised in Switzerland and holds an engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). He then earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Southern California (USC). Hess became the CEO of Leica Geosystems in 1996.
