OCG and GITA Collaborate on Geospatial Interoperability

The Open GIS Consortium, Inc. (OCG), Wayland, Mass. and the Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA), Aurora, Colo., have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together to accomplish common objectives. The two organizations will work together to create a program of jointly supported educational and market development activities to benefit the members of both organizations. Possible activities discussed include keeping respective boards of directors up-to-date on technology and client needs, outreach to local government and public works, sectors for education about interoperability and participation at conferences and meetings held by each group.
