ERDAS, Atlanta, Ga., plans to release IMAGINE NITF 2.1 before the end of 2001. The product was created in compliance with the National Imagery and Mapping Agency’s National Imagery Transmission Format Standard MIL-STD-2500B. Key features will include support for multispectral imagery, support for new data imagery types and support for larger sizes with ERDAS IMAGINE V8.5. The program can also support NATO secondary Image Format (NSIF 1.0). Current IMAGINE NITF 2.0 customers must have IMAGINE NITF 2.1 keycodes to access the program’s extended capabilities.
