The Museum of Surveying in Lansing, Mich. is hosting annual raffles in support of the museum. The museum, which is endorsed by the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors, is the only one in the United States dedicated solely to surveying history. The grand prize is $15,000 in cash. Other prizes include a Pentium Laptop color computer, a color Palmtop PC, an 8mm camcorder, a digital camera and $500 cash. Only 500 tickets will be sold at $100 each for these items and the grand prize. First prize in the second raffle is a Gurley compass, second prize is a copy of Flint's Surveyingbook and third prize a medallion commemorating the Land Ordinance of 1785.
