In order to promote the new ArcGIS 8.1 technology, ESRI, Redlands, Calif., is offering a free worldwide seminar series. The series began in February and will run through June 2001 in a variety of cities throughout the United States. The seminars are open to any person and organization including those in government, engineering, utilities, and natural resources. ArcGIS 8.1 offers three new developments: it unifies the ArcView and ArcInfo environments, it features a new software program called ArcEditor, and it adds a series of ArcGIS extensions. For a complete list of seminar locations and dates, to obtain more information, or to register online, visit www.esri.com/arcgis.
