Thales Navigation, Santa Clara, Calif., consolidated all its professional GPS products, including its well-known Ashtech brand, under theThales Navigation brand name. The re-branding is designed to unify Thales Navigation’s professional product offerings and help streamline the company’s marketing communications efforts.

Leica Geosystems, Atlanta, Ga., appointed Spatial Technologies Inc. , Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as its GPS dealer for Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan. Leica Geosystems’ subsidiary CYRA Technologies Inc. has also named Spatial Technologies as a dealer of the CYRAX 2500 laser scanner and software in Western Canada.

Leica Geosystems also announced GeoSolution, Alpharetta, Ga., as its newest GPS distributor in the southeastern United States.

TheTrimble Engineering and Construction division, Sunnyvale, Calif., appointedJohn ChwalibogEastern regional sales representative forCallidus, Trimble’s 3D laser-scanning product.

NovaLIS Technologies, Charlotte, N.C., opened a new west coast regional office and hired David Finney as the new regional sales manager to service the western United States market. Finney supervises the sales of all products and services for the western United States.

Intergraph, Huntsville, Ala., signed an agreement with the Carl Zeiss Group, Thornwood, N.Y., to acquire its minority interest inZ/I Imaging, Huntsville, Ala. Intergraph also announced thatDr. Terry Keatinghas joined Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions as an executive vice president. C
