Tripod Data Systems (TDS) released SOLO Field 3.3. This latest version of TDS GIS mapping software allows users to add GPS metadata to the GIS database, classify basemap data based on attributes including an on-screen legend, and output MapInfo MIF data without the separate SOLO Office program. Other new features include: color- and size-coded display based upon attribute for logged data; labels for logged data with attribute values; user-defined symbols for logged data; Save Log files for demonstration/training as well as diagnostic purposes; Map Layers dialog box for grouping all map data controls under a single menu; and enhanced support for Trimble Pathfinder series GPS receivers. SOLO Field 3.3 is a free upgrade to registered users of SOLO Field 3.x. (TDS, Corvallis, Ore.)
