TEAMS integrates legacy system data with spatial asset data to improve budgeting and operations.
Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions announced that Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, a division of the Florida Department of Transportation, is utilizing GeoMedia WebMap Professional as the Web-based geographic information system (GIS) component for its Turnpike Enterprise Asset Management System (TEAMS). National multi-discipline consulting firm PBS&J partnered with Intergraph to design, develop, and implement TEAMS.
Implementing TEAMS provided a comprehensive, Web-based asset management system that inventories and manages the maintenance and replacement of Turnpike Enterprise's $3.6 billion (U.S.) in capital assets - an inventory that rivals that of a small municipality in size and diversity. With assets including 449 centerline miles of pavement and nearly 1,200 structures, Turnpike Enterprise needed a system that provided employees with integrated desktop access to data related to asset inventory; historical, current, and projected conditions; renewal and replacement; and budget development.
