An inventive way to deal with California's traffic.
In San Diego County where I've been practicing land surveying for over 12 years, traffic has gotten so bad I finally decided to do something about it.
I got this old Honda motorcycle, bought a wire feed welder at Harbor Freight, learned how to weld aluminum, got some square aluminum tubing from local scrap yard, welded up a rack, and, bingo. Now I split lanes through traffic on I-5 and I-15 no problem. It's great for simple topo jobs or tieing out found monuments, etc. Needless to say I turn heads driving down the road.
