Lizardtech Software announced the appointment of Karen Morley as Vice President, Geospatial Imaging. Morley will lead the product and market strategy for Lizardtech's geospatial imaging solutions, including software products GeoExpress with MrSID and Lizardtech Express Server.
Morley joined Lizardtech in March 2002 and directed the introduction of the company's next-generation GeoExpress with MrSID technology, featuring lossless image compression and localized updating that enables users to add new imagery to existing MrSID mosaics. Morley brings to Lizardtech more than twenty years of experience in the geospatial industry, including key roles in product marketing and strategy at Earth Resources Mapping and Autodesk plus technical roles in remote imagery, database management and photogrammetric engineering.
"Lizardtech is uniquely positioned to help the geospatial community implement standards of image interoperability in vital areas of decision-making such as image analysis and national security," said Karen Morley, Lizardtech vice president, geospatial imaging. "I am excited to be in a position to guide this effort and to steer future product development to allow users to extract greater value from their image archives faster than ever before."
"We are fortunate to have Karen in this role," said Case Kuehn, Lizardtech Chief Operating Officer. "Karen's industry knowledge and leadership bolster our ability to keep Lizardtech customers on a path of continuous enhancement in the ways they can quickly access and use raster imagery."
