Conference to focus on
digital terrain data and 3D visualization.
The Imaging & Geospatial Information Society (ASPRS) and the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS) are jointly planning a Fall 2003 Conference entitled "Digital Terrain Data and 3-D Visualization." This program will be held in Charleston, South Carolina, October 28-30, 2003. Building on the successful joint digital elevation model (DEM) conference held in Florida in October 2001, the conference format will open with a keynote address, then continue with technical sessions covering applications, standards, technologies, and how to make it work for the end user. There will be an accompanying poster session and vendor exhibits as well. A number of dynamic workshops will precede the conference on October 25-27.
Representing ASPRS as co-chair for this conference will be Kenneth J. Osborn, USGS, Sacramento, California. Representing MAPPS as co-chair will be Michael E. Bullock, Intermap Technologies, Inc., Englewood, Colorado.
