The FHA, in association with the U.S. Coast Guard, the NGS and several other Federal agencies, will host a workshop on the (HA-NDGPS) service.

The Federal Highway Administration, in association with the U.S. Coast Guard, the National Geodetic Survey, and several other Federal agencies, will host a workshop on the High Accuracy Nationwide Differential Global Positioning System (HA-NDGPS) service from 1:30 PM to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Auditorium in Silver Spring, MD.

Preliminary results indicate that the HA-NDGPS service will enable real-time 3-D positioning at an accuracy of 20 cm (95% confidence level) for points located within 200 miles of a single reference station.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide industry, academia, and others with technical details about the HA-NDGPS service. For details see http://www.eps.gov/EPSData/DOT/Synopses/30/Reference-Number-TFHRC-2002-HANDGPS/HA-NDGPS.doc.
