Trimble Wins Three U.S. Army Contracts
Trimble, Sunnyvale, Calif., was awarded three equipment contracts from the U.S. Army for construction and surveying. Trimble will supply machine control equipment, GPS and construction design software.
The first contract includes Terramodel and TerraVista software used to design military projects. It was shipped in late May 2001. The second contract features a kit designed by the Army to conduct hydrographic survey missions. It is scheduled for delivery in June 2001. The third contract includes the Trimble 1145-2 Dual Slope Laser systems, Gradio laser receivers for dozers, BradePro motorgrader control system and BucketPro system for Army excavators. This contract began shipping in May 2001.
The contracts are worth approximately $3.1 million.
