Home » Ordnance Survey Enhances British Geographical Data
Ordnance Survey, Southampton, United Kingdom, used its Digital National Framework (DNF) to provide detailed geographical data of Britain. The completed data will be available in November 2001.
The data will be separated into nine themes: buildings, structures, roads, tracks and paths, land, administrative boundaries, water, heritage, height and rail. Ordnance Survey increased its existing database topographic identifiers (TOIDs) from 40 million to 400 million, which includes features such as fields and lakes.
