Eagle Point announced that its Q2, 2002 upgrade to its land development software has been released. A total of 45 enhancements were made through the Eagle Point software suite in the past 90 days.

John Biver, President and CEO stated, "This upgrade continues our work on improving the user interface in addition to adding new functionality, while focusing on making our applications the most stable in the land development industry. Virtually all of our enhancements are the result of direct user feedback and our response to the requests and needs of our clients."

Following are just a few highlights of the 45 enhancements included in the Q2 version of Eagle Point 2002:

  • System - A new authorization wizard is included to simplify the requesting and authorizing process. This step by step wizard guides you through the request process and offers the ability to receive your codes as an attachment in e-mail either as a self extracting zip file (*.exe) or as an ordinary zip file (*.zip).
  • COGO - Place Node. The EPPN (Eagle Point Place Node) command has been added as an alternate method for placing nodes into your drawing. It runs entirely on the CAD command line and has no dialog box interaction (similar to the EP14 version).
  • COGO - 2 Point Inverse. The EP2PI (Eagle Point 2 Point Inverse) command has been added as an alternate method for inversing nodes or points in your drawing. It runs entirely on the CAD command line and has no dialog box interaction (similar to the EP14 version).
  • RoadCalc - Cross-Section Staking. A new report item has been added to the staking report called Catch Depth. It is calculated from Catchpoint Elevation - Toe Elevation. A positive depth indicates an amount of cut whereas a negative depth indicates the amount of fill.
