Geospatial solutions for land management, cartography, and location-based sServices on display at FIG 2002.

Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions is showcasing their geospatial products and solutions for attendees at the FIG (International Federation of Surveyors) 2002 XXII Congress in Washington, D.C., April 19-26. In the Intergraph booth (#719), attendees will see demonstrations of industry-proven cartographic and GeoMedia technology solutions and discover how modern land management infrastructures can impact homeland security. Participants at workshops hosted by Intergraph on Thursday, April 25, will learn about the latest geospatial and cartographic solutions and location-based services.

Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions' president, Preetha Pulusani, will participate in the Tuesday plenary session entitled, "Toward the implementation of local, national and regional compatible Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) and its contribution to a Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI)." She will discuss the welcoming of political and business agreements to underscore the importance of global cooperation.

Industry-proven technology on display
These key product and solution demonstrations bring together open geospatial technology to address industry-specific workflows.

IntelliWhere OnDemand -
IntelliWhere OnDemand is a low-cost, off-the-shelf software product for personal digital assistants (PDAs). Working in an occasionally connected mode, field personnel such as appraisers, property inspectors, and surveyors can extract data from the GIS, view it, work in disconnected mode, and then synchronize updates back to the corporate enterprise system using a cradle or wireless connection.

GeoMedia Parcel Manager -
GeoMedia Parcel Manager delivers configurable and customizable functionality for parcel and boundary maintenance. Commands and workflows that are specifically tailored for cadastral and property mapping organizations and service providers enable efficient collection and maintenance of parcel boundary and related land information in a nonproprietary database environment.

GeoMedia Transaction Manager -
GeoMedia Transaction Manager introduces the functionality for long term transaction management, versioning, and temporal data management for the GeoMedia Professional and Oracle9i(TM) environments. Organizations such as cadastral agencies, nautical and aeronautical charting agencies, and mapping and cartographic departments, can manage the life cycle of data changes while they safeguard the integrity and validity of valuable enterprise geospatial information.

Digital Cartographic Studio -
Intergraph's Digital Cartographic Studio (DCS) offers map production organizations the tools to design aesthetic, clear, and concise maps. The latest version of DCS provides the producers of series-map output with powerful functionality such as automatic rules-based symbolization, overprint detection, and conflict resolution for eliminating repeated cycles of map feature editing, rasterization, and color proofing.

Intergraph-hosted workshops at FIG
Intergraph-hosted professional development workshops will focus on real-world solutions and applications for mapping, GIS, and cartographic professionals. Held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, the workshops will feature digital cartographic solutions, land information management solutions, Web mapping and publishing solutions, and IntelliWhere wireless solutions. Show attendees can also attend featured stage presentations and qualify for software and hardware giveaways at the Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions booth. For more information, visit
