Blue Marble's Geographic Calculator 5.0
Blue Marble Geographics, Gardiner, Maine, released Geographic Calculator version 5.0. Enhancements include vertical datum support, true batch processing and an expanded parameter database. Users can transform between coordinate systems, calculate the distance and azimuth between coordinates, and calculate coordinates at a known distance and azimuth from known coordinates. The Geographic Calculator also computes grid convergence, point scale factor, datum shifts and grid shifts. Given distance and direction, users can compute coordinates from an origin or compute the distance and azimuth between points and output results directly to AutoCAD DWG/DXF files. The calculator contains hundreds of unit, ellipsoid, datum transformation, and coordinate system definitions including many from standard government, corporate, and NPSG/POSC databases. It also converts individual coordinates, point databases and map files from virtually any coordinate system, datum and map projection to any other.
