Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. announced three new utility vehicles for 2005. The all-new Mule 3010 Trans4x4 is a four-passenger off-road utility vehicle that can be transformed into a two-passenger vehicle with an extended cargo bed. The MULE 3010 4x4 features a four-stroke engine, selectable four-wheel drive, an automatic transmission, bench seat and tilting cargo bed. The MULE 3010 4x4 utility vehicle features a rugged grille, dual headlights and rounded fenders, and the body panels of the cab are made of durable, color-infused plastic to help hide scuffing. The front hood can be lifted with the touch of a button to reveal a large storage space, which also has D-rings to secure cargo. Located beneath the front grille are winch-ready tabs for winch mounting, and a passenger-side grab rail is mounted on the cab frame. Plus, two lever latches make opening and closing the tailgate easy. The MULE 3010 4x4 utility vehicle can carry 800 pounds in its steel cargo bed and can tow 1,200 pounds. Also new to the Mule line is the new compact class Mule 610 4x4 utility vehicle and its two-wheel-drive sibling, the Mule 600. Both models feature all-new styling, bigger engines and new convenience features; either model can fit in the cargo bed of a full-size pick-up truck. (Kawasaki, Irvine, Calif.)
