Topcon and OutSource Inc. announced new course offerings for machine control contractors, data conversion professionals, engineers and surveyors. This unique seminar will provide instruction on how to create 3D site and road data for 3D machine control. The seminar comes in two flavors: the first uses the Autodesk Land Desktop software combined with Topcon's Top Site and 3D-Office; the second uses Carlson's SurvCADD combined with Topcon's Top Site and 3D-Office. Additional topics comprise: Earthwork & Sub-surface material Take-offs, Topsoil stripping, QA/QC methods and formatting data for machine control.

This is a four-day, hands-on course, developed to improve productivity for designers and site prep professionals. The class will be taught by OutSource Inc., a Topcon Certified Top Site Training Manager and an Autodesk Authorized Premier Training Center ( The lead instructor for these sessions is Harry O. Ward, PE, one of the nation's most highly respected experts in 3D Machine Control. His lectures have spanned the United States and his articles on the subject can be read in CE News, Site Prep and POB magazines. These seminars are offered nationwide and will provide attendees with fully equipped systems, training manuals and data sets for the training.
