XYZworks has introduced a new data collection system on a rugged field handheld PC, the new XYZworks Fieldbook. It features a bright sunlight viewable color touchscreen, a full-size sealed 45-key keyboard, standard CF card slot, 64Mb of RAM and 64Mb of Flash memory, rugged serial port and Windows CE.NET 4.2. It is a lightweight 28-ounce design with an outstanding two-year warranty. It is powered with the included rechargeable/swappable NiMh battery or 6 AA batteries.

The XYZworks software included is Fieldworks, which includes the ability to interface to all popular total stations, robotics and GPS units. The software includes data collection, stakeout, cogo, roading and plotting routines. Fieldworks includes custom add-ins for the PocketCAD program to create drawings while you collect, or for taking your AutoCAD design drawings to the field.
