Navman announced the Jupiter 20 surface mount GPS receiver, with SiRFstarIIe/LP chipset. Key features of the Jupiter 20 include a compact form factor (25.4 mm x 25.4 mm x 3.0 mm); upgradeable flash memory; state-of-the-art algorithms for optimized use in urban environments; improved jamming immunity; horizontal position accuracy of better than 3 m CEP without differential aiding; integrated gyro interface for Dead Reckoning (DR) option; and integrated LNA for active and passive antenna support. Additional features include standard XTrac and DR options; power management options to reduce current consumption (as low as 35 mA); GPS fix output; and WAAS/EGNOS compatibility.
